Sept 13, 2014 Updates... for now
I've really neglected the site the last few years, but hope to do a complete rewrite in the next few months since I know so much more about web programming now. Be looking for a whole new look by the end of the year.

I've moved The Drymian Codex and Cell 6 to the Released page, and hope to add a few more things soon like a Prisoner Voice pack (from Cell 6), an upcoming page for King Abedzen's Tomb, and updated screenshots.
May 2, 2012 The Drymian Codex announced
Twenty months since the last update - I've got to do better than that. Anyway, I've added a mission page to Upcoming for The Drymian Codex, the new mission by me, Random_Taffer and Tannar which was begun for the Thief Reloaded II Contest but we missed the deadline. You can read all about it over there.
Aug 19, 2010 New Tutorials Area
I've created an area of the site for tutorials, and have posted my first one on creating seamless ambient loops. Email or PM me with any questions on it or requests for other tutorials.
Death's Cold Embrace Update
Back in July, Moghedian and I welcomed Random_Taffer onto the team as the third developer for the Dromed work in DCE, and he's hit the ground running! We may be able to post some new screenshots of his work in the large Hammer church mission soon. Welcome Rob!
Mar 27, 2010 Death's Cold Embrace Updates
DCE is progressing slowly but surely, and Moghedian and I are nearly done with the base mission work. To celebrate this milestone, I'm refreshing the screenshots for this campaign, with better images and larger thumbnails. Enjoy!
Nov 02, 2009 Rose Cottage Released, and Other News
Saturnine returns after 7 years to unleash his magnum opus, Rose Cottage, on the TTLG community for Halloween. I'm also announcing it here because I had a hand in it, helping him with some of the scripting and other mission work, and also designed the menus including making the ambient loop used. I urge every Thief fan to get it now - here is the TTLG announcement thread - as this is a groundbreaking mission that sets new standards for detail and atmopshere.

So now, I turn my focus back to Death's Cold Embrace, and finishing up the last baseline work, Base C, which consists of a large church complex and surrounding cemetery. A few other separate odd locations have to be multibrushed in as well to allow for certain scenes in the campaign.

Additionally, I revealed at TTLG recently that I have secretly been planning a revisiting of What Lies Below. The physical architecture will be changed little (although the semi-greyscale look will likely change), but the story will be more radically altered. Originally planned aggressively for Halloween 2009, it is now in the "done when it's done" bucket, and will be a project I turn to on occasion as a break from DCE.
Dec 25, 2008 Off The Record Released
This small mission was made in the 5 weeks since I finished DP2. Originally I hoped to get it done much faster for the Thief Anniversary Contest, but finished it anyway when I missed the deadline. It takes place in the City Hall Annex Building, where you've learned a case file on you is kept. Time to get in and make that record disappear! The mission features tough AI that patrol randomly and turn lights back on when they notice you've turned them off.

The thread on TTLG is here, where you'll find screenshots and links to download mirrors.
Nov 15, 2008 DP2 Finally Released!
After lots of work and testing, DP2 was finally released today! A big sigh of relief for me, and hopefully Will is pleased to finally see his creation finished and unleashed.

The announcement thread on TTLG is here, which has links to download mirrors and also screenshots.
Sep 24, 2008 DP2 Finally Enters Test!
Three years after receiving this gift from William the Taffer, it was sent to an initial round of testers this morning. I consider it PreBeta as there are several cutscenes missing, but the bulk of the mission is ready for their critical eye. Hopefully with 5 weeks to go, I can still make the Halloween release date I've always hoped for!

No new screenshots or details at this time - I'll be keeping that pretty hush-hush until the release. Cross your fingers!
Mar 11, 2008 DCE News
Over the last two months, in between working on Deceptive Perception 2 and playing some missions, I worked closely with Moghedian and Peter Smith and we managed to complete the overall story and plan for Death's Cold Embrace. We're all very pleased with the result, which is a strong story with Garrett as the player character and several other well-defined characters who undergo tragedy and change during the course of events. The undertones of death and sacrifice are tragic, but overall the ending is affirmative, in a somewhat bittersweet way. In addition, the planned style and presentation of the story is fairly novel and quite cinematic.

The DCE page under My FMs > Upcoming has been updated with more details and also new screenshots. I've also added the latest DP2 screenshots to its page.
Jan 05, 2008 Site Overhaul Complete
As you no doubt have noticed, a complete overhaul of the look and feel as well as navigation has been completed. The intent was to match the appearance of my blog, being black with green and blue accent text. All submenus should behave similarly (in the left frame) and only the Blog and Abandoned Mission archive links take you to a new tab or window. Note that my abandoned missions (up to two now, adding four more soon) are under My Missions and not in the Abandoned archive, which is reserved for others' abandoned missions.

Please report any issues or broken links to me via email or PM at TTLG.
Nov 26, 2007 Weary Blog
I've finally joined the blogging world and begun a blog to document the ups and downs of mission development. Most posts will be concerned with whatever my current mission is, so watch it for status, updates and screenshots. Right now, the focus is Deceptive Perception 2: Phantasmagoria. Just click on Blog in the header above.

I'm also planning to add internally hosted screenshots soon for all my missions, as there are few to none posted for my last few missions.
Nov 19, 2007 Hammerite Deathmatch! Released
I have just released my latest mission, Hammerite Deathmatch!, which includes both Last Man Standing and Deathmatch modes, and plenty of new gadgets and stress-reducing hack-and-slash and blow-em-up fun. Just what the doctor ordered at the end of a stressful day! The map was based on my abandoned mission The Circulation of Shadows.
Hammer Contest Canceled
Unfortunately, the contest had to be canceled due to only one entry, but it's a great mission by Jason Otto called The Way Of The Sword, so it certainly wasn't all for nothing.
Oct 17, 2007 Abandoned FM Archive Opened
I have finally gotten around to opening an archive of abandoned FMs which authors have donated over the last year or so. Click on Abandoned FMs above to browse the archive, or if you're an author and have one to give, you can upload it (the limit is 8MB; if it's larger, use a file sharing service and get me the link).

Sorry to those of you who don't use Dromed - most if not all are Dromed-only (not Darkloader-ready). That's the way it goes...
Aug 08, 2007 Hammer Contest announced!
I'm hosting another contest, egads! This time there is a thematic requirement that the Hammers be major players in the story. For full details, click on the Contests button above, and then Hammer Contest and Rules.

I've also mostly completed a MAJOR overhaul of the website, including completely redoing the Missions and Contests pages. Very soon, I will be opening an archive of unfinished missions, including some of my own - I'm abandoning The Olde Castle, St. Francis' Folly, Murder Most Foul, and Broad Daylight (all will contain both missions and plan docs), plus Circulation of Shadows (the mission only; I'm keeping the story to use in a Dark Mod mission in the future). I also have a number of abandoned missions by other authors which will be made available for authors to plunder at the same time.
